Church and nonprofit local moves in Kansas City

Pews, a piano, folding chairs, and a hall that still has a service. How we move a Kansas City church or nonprofit — not a shop and not an office floor.

ARTICLE IMAGE

Retail and shop is cases and a storefront. Office moves around your hours is desks and a clock. The piano page is one instrument. This page is a hall: pews or chairs, a sanctuary piano, the office in the back, a kitchen that still feeds people. We work around the service. We will not invent a donation. Two ZIP codes: Get my price. We will not write “licensed and insured.”

From [$XXX] an hour for two movers and a truck — two movers and a truck. Most local jobs $1,200–$1,500. A fellowship room of folding chairs can sit in that band. A pipe organ we will not take, and a sanctuary piano on a tight stair will not sit in that band — pianos, baby grand ([REAL JOB] stays). What changes the price. How we quote: two ZIP codes. Compare hours: how to compare hourly quotes. Damage: [TIM'S DAMAGE POLICY]. What I will honour: [WHAT TIM WILL HONOUR].

What to finish before we roll a pew

  • What is coming vs what stays with the building — hymnals, a bolted rail, a sign on the fascia — what you are not taking
  • The piano or organ named on the sheet — we move pianos; we do not take a pipe organ apart
  • Glass out of a display case — china and glass, china cabinets
  • The office: empty files or say they are full — desk and filing cabinet
  • The window around the service, not “sometime Saturday”

Packing per box if you want us on the paper: standard $10–20, wardrobe $25–30, dish pack $30–40 for the kitchen glass. A pew is not a box. Books and records in the library: packing books and records. Labour only still needs the aisle clear — labour-only. A floor of stations is the office page — offices. A shop next door is the shop page — retail and shop.

Pews, chairs, and the turn

A pew that will not turn is a measurement — furniture that will not turn, stairs and tight turns. Pads on the arms — how we pad and wrap furniture. Floors and rails: how we protect floors and rails, doorway and banister. Two people on a long pew may need a third — when you need a third, how we staff three. Long carry from the curb: long carry and shuttle. Elevator vs a case of chairs: elevator reservations. A walk-up hall: walk-ups.

Framed charters and stained glass that is a hanging, not a window: moving mirrors and framed art. A safe in the office: safes, safes and gun safes. IT closet: server closet. We will not invent an insurance figure for a cross. White glove is placement, not a liturgy — white glove, white glove vs standard.

Around the service

If the hall has to stay live until noon, say so. That is closer to office hours even when the address is a church — office moves around your hours. Weekend vs weekday: weekend vs weekday. Month-end: month-end. Same-day: same-day. After the form: after you request a price. How long: how long a local move takes. If it runs long we will not stack chairs on a piano — what we do if it runs long. A tip is optional and not a donation receipt — tipping.

Rain on uncovered wood: rain and ice. Ice on the steps: winter moving day. Heat in a closed truck is not a sanctuary — July and August. Kitchen last if you still serve: how to pack a kitchen.

Frequently asked questions

Will you move the piano?

Yes if it is a piano we take. Put the size and the stair on the form. A pipe organ is not this job.

Can you work around Sunday?

Yes if you give us the window. That is the hour, not a slogan.

Do you give a church discount?

I will not invent one on this page. Ask when you request a price. What I will honour: [WHAT TIM WILL HONOUR].

Is this an office move?

The back office is the desk page. The hall is this page. A floor of stations is office moves around your hours.

Folding chairs in the basement.

Say the flight. That is a carry. See stairs and long carry.

Name the piano. Name the window.

Two ZIP codes and whether the hall has a service that day. We will write pews as furniture, not as a house move with extra chairs.
