Pool table moves in Kansas City

It comes apart, the slate is the weight, and it has to go back together level. How we price a Kansas City pool table — not as last-minute furniture.

A pool table is not furniture. It comes apart. The slate is the weight. It has to go back together level at the other end. We strip it, move it, and reassemble it. Say so when you request a price — it is not a last-minute add-on. That is pool tables. The form is Get my price.

Two people and a truck from [$XXX] an hour is the house-move starting point, not a slate-down-a-basement-stair rate. The table is one of the things that changes the crew.

What we need to know

  • Size — seven, eight, or nine foot if you know it; a photo from the end is enough
  • One-piece slate or three-piece — say if you are not sure
  • Which floor it is on now, and which floor it is going to
  • Stairs, a lift, or a walk-out basement at either end
  • Door widths and whether the table room is at the back of the house
  • The rest of the house move, or the table on its own

Photos of the table, the path to the door, and any stair beat a bed count. A basement rec room in Raytown or a ranch in Grandview is a different carry than a main-floor game room with a garage that opens onto the same hall.

It comes apart. That is the job.

Pockets, rails, felt if it has to come off for the slate, then the slate itself. We do not walk a fully assembled table through a Kansas City door and hope. The slate is the weight. Three-piece slate is still heavy; one-piece is a crew question, not a slogan.

At the other end it has to sit level. An uneven basement slab in an Independence split-level is not the same as a finished rec room. We reassemble. Fine tuning a championship cloth is a table mechanic — say if you already have one booked. We will not invent that service in the quote.

Basements and the stair

A lot of Kansas City tables live downstairs. Walk-out is easier than a tight interior flight. Measure the stair before anyone tips a slate. Width at the rail, the turn, and whether a door at the top opens into the flight. Same habit as a washer out of a basement and a piano — the stair is half the job. Piano method: piano moves.

Independence split-levels add short flights and a landing that was never drawn for slate. A walk-up apartment with a table is rare and still needs the floor count on the form. Do not write “basement” and mean a walk-up.

The truck and the rest of the house

The table often wants the truck first or last so the slate is not a wall in the load. Garage-first loading in Blue Springs is the same idea as a packed garage: plan the door before the sofa. Johnson County houses with long drives add a carry after the stairs — Johnson County house move checklist. We mention Overland Park and Leawood because that is where a lot of these rooms are. Those suburb pages stay unpublished until Kansas authority is confirmed. ZIP codes or the phone. Live list: service areas.

If you also have a hot tub or a safe, say both. Two heavy items is not one extra hour. Hot tubs: hot tub moves.

Table-only, labour-only, white glove

A table-only job is still two ZIP codes and the floor. Labour only means your truck — we still strip and rebuild. Tell us you have the vehicle and the path. More: labour-only moving.

White glove is more wrap on the rest of the house, not a different way to carry slate. The table still comes apart. Compare the two jobs here: white glove vs a standard house move.

Price

There is no honest one-line pool-table price without the slate and the stair. Local moves overall land $1,200–$1,500 before full packing; a basement table moves that number. Full packing on a house can sit $3,000–$4,000. Those bands are already on the cost guide. Compare quotes on the same disassembly — comparing Kansas City movers.

I quote it — about. Call (913) 957-9311. We will not write “licensed and insured.” Google stays [X.X] · [XXX] reviews. [REAL REVIEW] stays bracketed on reviews. [REAL JOB] stays off this page until a real table write-up is in.

Nearby published pages: Kansas City, Lee's Summit, Independence, Raytown, Grandview. Book the date in the four weeks if you can.

Frequently asked questions

Can you move it in one piece?

Not through a normal door. It comes apart. The slate is the weight. We put it back together level.

Do you recover the felt?

We move and reassemble. New cloth is a table shop unless we agreed it in writing.

What if it is in a basement with no walk-out?

Photos of the stair. That is the crew question. We will not guess the slate on the day.

Can you do just the table?

Yes. Two ZIP codes and the floors. Labour-only if you have the truck — still tell us the slate and the path.

Do you move tables on the Kansas side?

Yes. Johnson County most weeks. ZIP codes or the phone. Kansas area pages stay unpublished until authority is confirmed.
