When labour only is the right job
- You already hired a truck, or a friend is bringing one
- You only need loading, only unloading, or both
- The house is a normal house or apartment and you do not want the full move package
- A pod or container is on site and needs packing out or packing in
It is not a cheaper full move in disguise. If you need our truck, say so. If you need packing as well, that is per box on top, not “labour” with paper thrown in.
What still changes the crew
Two people is the starting point, not a promise. Stairs with no lift, a long carry to the curb, a piano, a safe, a hot tub — those add hands. The same list as a full move. More on that in what changes the price and piano moves.
A third-floor walk-up in Brookside with your 16-footer at the hydrant is still a walk-up. Read walk-up apartment moves before you assume two people and an hour.
Loading vs unloading
Say which end you want us. Loading only: we fill your truck so it travels. Unloading only: we take it off and put it where you point. Both: same crew, two addresses. If the truck is late, we wait or we reschedule — tell us who is driving and when it will actually be there.
Appliances and the basement washer
Disconnect and hookup is still appliances, even on a labour-only day. A washer that has lived in a Raytown basement since the house was built is not “a box by the door.” Say what has to come off the wall.

How we price it
From [$XXX] an hour for two movers — that figure is the house-move starting point on the site. Labour only is still time and heads, without our truck. You get a written number. The number we quote is the number you pay unless you add work on the day and agree it first.

What if my truck is too small?
We will say so when we see the house, not after it is overfilled. Photos help. A walkthrough is better.
Is this the same as a cleanout?
No. A cleanout is emptying a place on a clock. That is cleanouts. Labour only is loading or unloading a truck you already have.
