TVs and electronics on a local move

A TV is not a picture. It travels upright. Original box if you still have it. If you do not, say so — we pad it standing, we do not slide it under a dresser. Remotes and cables go in a bag you keep or a box you can open first. We are movers. We will not set up your home theatre on the other end unless we agreed it in writing.

What we need to know

• Size of the screen — a photo with the stand or the wall is enough
• Wall-mounted or on a stand — who is taking it off the wall
• Original box or not
• Which floor, and a lift or walk-up at either end
• Sound bar, console, desktop, or a pile of peripherals
• The rest of the house move, or electronics only

A 75-inch on a third-floor walk-up is a crew question, not a blanket. A stand that will not turn on an Independence split is the same measure-first habit as a dresser.

Off the wall

We will take a set off a mount if we agreed it. Bolted into brick or a mystery bracket is a photo, not a surprise at 10am. Holes in the wall are yours unless we wrote otherwise. The mount can travel with the screen or stay — say which.

Mirrors and glass are a different job — packing a bathroom and china cabinet and glass. Do not treat a TV like a medicine-cabinet shelf.

Boxes, bags, and what you keep

Original foam is the only packing that was drawn for that screen. If it is in the basement, find it in the four weeks, not on the morning. Standard boxes at $10–20 on packing are for routers, games, and cables — not for a 65-inch laid in a wardrobe.

Hard drives, cameras, and laptops can ride in your car. Same rule as meds: if replacing it hurts more than a dish pack, it does not need to sit in a truck all day. What you are not taking is the keep-vs-leave pile; this is the keep-in-the-car pile.

Stairs, rain, town homes

Upright through a landing. We will not tip a screen on ice — rain and ice moves. A town home freight lift is easier than a Brookside flight. A Raytown ranch basement rec room is a second carry after the living-room set.

Price
