Office moves around your hours

Desks, filing, the kit nobody labelled. We work around your hours so you are trading again the next morning — Kansas City and Johnson County corridors included.

An office move is not a house move with more desks. The clock is different. Something often has to stay live until 6pm. The lift is booked for a two-hour window. The person who quotes it should be the person who knows which wall the server sits on.

That is offices and commercial. Two ZIP codes start a price on Get my price. Call (913) 957-9311 if it is faster to talk the hours through.

What to tell us

  • Both addresses, or both ZIPs, and which floor at each end
  • Lift bookings, dock hours, and after-hours access
  • How many desks, and whether they come apart
  • Filing, safes, and anything that stays locked until the last minute
  • IT: what can come down Friday night and what cannot
  • Whether you need packing for the kitchenette and the glass

Rough headcount is fine. A walkthrough or a video of the floor is better. The same honesty rule as a house: missing stairs or a safe makes the written number a different job. See what changes the price.

Around your hours

We work around the day you still have to trade. Evening load, morning set. Weekend if the building allows it. If the office cannot go dark, say which rooms can and which cannot. We will not invent a plan that shuts you on a Tuesday because it was easier for the truck.

Building rules are the same problem as an HOA window on a house. Send them. Reserved elevator, certificate the landlord asks tenants for, dock that closes at 4 — we work inside it. We do not publish insurance figures on this site.

Kansas City and the College Boulevard corridor

Local office work runs the metro. Downtown and midtown floors. Kansas City and the Missouri suburbs on service areas. Johnson County corridors — College Boulevard, 119th Street, City Center — we are on those streets most weeks. Those Kansas suburb pages stay unpublished until Kansas authority is confirmed. ZIP codes still work.

Access on the Kansas side is the same conversation as the Johnson County house checklist: where the truck sits, how long the carry is, who has the gate code.

Desks, filing, and the unlabelled kit

Drawers empty if they are heavy. Light drawers can stay — we will say on the walkthrough, same as houses. Filing that is still in use until Friday needs a last-on, first-off plan, not a pile in the lobby.

A commercial safe or a lobby piano is still a specialty item. Put it on the form. Labour only is available if you already have the truck; the hours and the lift booking still matter. More in labour-only moving.

Packing an office

Per box, same list as the house: standard $10–20, dish pack $30–40 for the kitchenette glass. Do the easy shelves yourself. Leave the breakable stuff. Method for glass is how to pack a kitchen. Full packing on a small office can still move a local job toward the upper end of the $1,200–$1,500 / $3,000–$4,000 ranges we already publish.

How we price it

Written number after the hours and the floor plan are clear. From [$XXX] an hour for two movers and a truck is the house starting point; an office after 6pm with a dock window is a different shape. I quote it and I am on most of them — about.

Frequently asked questions

Can you move us after we close for the day?

Yes, if the building allows it. Tell us the window when you ask for a price.

Do you move IT?

We move the kit you point at. We do not rewire your network. Say what has to stay live.

What if we only have a few desks?

“Just a few items” is on the form. Floors and dock hours still change the job.

Is this the same as a house move on a Saturday?

Same company, different clock. Book the office hours first if both are in the same week.
