How to pack a kitchen without breaking half of it

Do the plates standing up, not stacked flat. Wrap each one. Dish packs exist for a reason — double-ply, and they cost $30–40 because replacing a set of plates costs more.

Glasses go in after plates, still wrapped. Knives separately. Don't pack the kettle full of cutlery and hope.
