What not to put on the truck
Paint, fuel, open bleach, pets, and the bag you need tonight. If you would not put it in your own trunk, ask before it hits the load path.
If you would not put it in your own car loose, ask before you leave it in the load path. Paint, fuel, and open chemicals are not a wardrobe box. Wet trash is not a mattress bag. Leave these off unless we agreed otherwise
- Open paint, stain, solvents, and half-used fuel cans — garage and shed: the garage is a room
- Open bleach and leaking cleaners — bag or leave; packing a bathroom
- Propane, fireworks, and anything you would not take through a tunnel
- Pets, plants you care about, and open food that will rot on a warm truck
- Prescriptions, passports, cash, jewelry — in your car
- Laptops and hard drives if replacing them hurts — TVs and electronics
Sealed household liquids, bagged and upright, can travel. A sloshing tray of open oil cannot. We will not invent a hazmat certificate. If it is in the grey area, a photo the day before is cheaper than an argument at 8am — photos that get a written price.
What belongs in your car
First-night bag: towels, soap, a change, chargers. Kid and pet gear if they are with you. The hardware bag for the bed if you took it apart — or we tape it to a rail if we did: beds and disassembly. Morning-of: that bag does not go on the truck — moving-day morning.
What can go on if it is packed

A storage unit does not change the list. Paint still does not go. Local only — we will not haul a unit interstate.
Cleanouts and the grey pile
Dump runs are a cleanout we quoted that way — when a cleanout is the job. We will not throw paint in a household load and call it done. Labour only on your truck: the same no. More: labour-only moving.

Price and what we will not write
