Photo albums and irreplaceable boxes on a Kansas City move

If you cannot reprint it, it does not belong in a wardrobe carton on the truck. Albums, negatives, a hard drive of family photos, and the one box you would drive back for — those ride in your car. We will pad furniture and stack boxes. We will not treat a moving truck as a vault, and we will not guarantee a reprint.

Jewelry and cash are a different page — cash, jewelry, and what rides with you. Prescriptions and passports are medications and documents. The first-night tote can hold a slim album; it is still yours to carry — first-night box.

What stays off the truck

• Albums, negatives, loose prints you cannot replace.
• A hard drive or disk of family photos.
• The box you would not leave in a storage unit overnight.
• Framed wall prints are glass, not this box — mirrors and framed art.

If a carton of albums has to go on the truck because there is no other way, say so when you request a price. We can write last-on, first-off. That is still not a guarantee the paper survives heat, rain, or a long sit. Prefer the car.

How to pack the car pile

One small box, closed, labelled with your name, in the footwell — not loose on a seat. Keep it with you at both ends. Do not number it into a dest bedroom and hope we see “photos” on the lid. Numbers are for furniture rooms — how to number rooms for unload.
