What movers need from you the week before

The week before is not the four-week plan and it is not the morning we park. Four weeks is book, pack decision, awkward list. What to tell us before moving day is the stair and the piano. Confirm, do not assume

• The day and the start window — not the lease date you hoped for

Make the house a path

Empty the heavy drawers — books, tools, kitchenware. A dresser full of paper is a different carry than the one we quoted. Leave a kettle and the coffee kit out.
