Tipping Kansas City movers

A tip is yours to give. It is not built into the hour. What we will and will not say about tipping on a Kansas City local move.

A tip is optional. It is not a line on the quote and it is not how the hour works. From [$XXX] an hour for two movers and a truck is the job — two movers and a truck. We will not publish a percentage on this page. National blogs love one. I will not invent Tim’s number. Two ZIP codes: Get my price. We will not write “licensed and insured.”

What I will honour is still [WHAT TIM WILL HONOUR]. Damage is still [TIM'S DAMAGE POLICY]. A tip does not buy a different policy. Compare the same written job — how to compare hourly quotes, comparing Kansas City movers.

What the hour already covers

If the day runs long because the access changed, we agree the hours — that is the next page, not a tip conversation. If we wrote two and the stair needed three, that is a crew problem we should have caught in photos — photos that get a written price. A tip is not how you fix a quote that did not match the house.

If you want to tip

Cash at the end is the simple way. Split it how you want. We will not invoice a gratuity. We will not add it to a card because a script said to. Labour only on your rental is still your sit — a tip there is the same optional sentence — labour-only. White glove is more time, not a mandatory extra envelope — white glove vs standard.

Do not tip in leftover beer on a hot August walk-up and call it even — July and August. Water on the path is useful. A review you actually lived is useful — Google stays [X.X] · [XXX]. [REAL REVIEW] stays bracketed until it is real. We will not write fake stars for a tip.

What a tip is not

It is not permission to add a piano at 4 p.m. — piano moves. It is not a skip on the walkthrough we asked for — what a walkthrough looks like. It is not how you get us to wait unpaid for keys — keys late, closing day. It is not how you get a dump run we did not book — when a cleanout is the job. It is not insurance. We will not write an insurance figure here.

A landlord walkthrough is their clipboard — landlord walkthrough. A rental move-out is the lease clock — moving out of a rental. First apartment: same rule, no special “starter tip” we invented — first apartment. Estate: we will not take a tip as a vote in a sibling fight — estate and inherited.

The job still has to be the job

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to tip?

No. The hour is the job. A tip is yours if you want it.

How much?

We will not publish a percentage here. I will not invent one.

Can you add it to the card?

We will not invoice a gratuity as a scripted add-on. Cash at the end if you choose.

Does a tip change the damage policy?

No. [TIM'S DAMAGE POLICY] stays what it is. [WHAT TIM WILL HONOUR] stays what it is.

Should I tip more on a three-person crew?

That is your call. Three was written because the path needed three. See when you need a third.

Two ZIP codes and the stair. A tip, if you give one, is after the work — not instead of an honest number.
